Did you know that more and more Americans are deciding to pass on life insurance? We understand that gas is expensive and the cost of living continues to rise, but passing on such a critical policy should not be the answer (especially if you have a family!) While it is not smart to axe this policy all together, it IS smart to find ways to save. As your insurance experts, we have put together a list of seven ways to save on your CT life insurance premium.
#1: Buy life insurance while you are young and in good health. The less of a risk you are, the lower your premium will be.
#2: Opt for term life insurance versus whole life. A term life policy is much more affordable and will still provide stellar protection.
#3: Ask your agent if it is possible to pay annually rather than monthly. Installment fees will add up each month!
#4: If you are a smoker, now would be the time to quit. Non-smokers will pay much less than those who smoke (due to the risks associated with it.)
#5: Hit the gym! Those who are considered overweight are more than likely going to be associated with an unhealthy and risky lifestyle. Keep yourself in shape to benefit your own self and your premium.
#6: Improve your credit score. A bad credit score may negatively affect your premium.
#7: Increase your deductible if you can afford to. An higher deductible means a lower premium.
